shiny, sparkly doom!

so, as staysea says, i really should blog more...mind you, the past two months have been filled with me being busy, lazy, sick, and suffering from a harddrive crash right before christmas. *sigh* how wonderful my life seems summed up in those words!

anyway. had a good christmas and new year. then i got sick after feeling sick for a while. yay! omg that was wonderful...i ended up with, since the week of december 24th, 5 weeks of 3-4 days working since the two weeks without holidays, i ended up staying home sick during. this month i've also spent waaaay too much money on myself. i'm currently waiting on an order from a shop in seoul that put me out quite a few hundred dollars and that i'm worrying over since i have to wait 6-8 weeks for delivery...*sigh* my other big purchase was a new camera! i finally have a digital camera that isn't my phone! got a nice 10mp kodak point and shoot a week ago. tooooooo much fun!!!

speaking of cameras. it snowed on december 1st and so i went on a photo adventure all over capitol hill. and, at the end, i bent over to fix my pant leg into a boot top and, whack!, my camera bag didn't slip around me like it should have and my camera fell out. D: camera body one way, lens the other. camera body took a little superficial damage, but the connector ring on the lens broke. now i have to get it fixed. so no more slr for a while since all i have is my telephoto lens. however, i do have pictures! yay pictures! (they'll be at the end...)

aside from that, staysea and i were in the january show at the gallery ok the theme of which was "new beginnings". i put in 2 photos and 3 paintings. it was exciting and nerve wracking. but i managed to sell several pieces! real excited about that! one of them is already gone, so i won't have much better photos of it until i get the film in my camera developed. the 2nd piece that sold just has to be varnished this next weekend before going to it's new home, so i'll be sure to get a good picture and put it up. so yeah, very exciting that i sold 2 pieces. (trust me, i don't think i'll ever manage it again!)

now! onto the photos since i don't feel like writing anything more and staysea is bugging me to play scrabulous...
